I am Jess, and this is my slightly distracted intro. I got a little side tracked with "question of the day" but I do plan to get a proper picture of myself etc and upload some tracks soon. All my music is on the computer in The Dark Room (ie, the bedroom) and I am here in The Room of Light with my laptop, enjoying last of natural daylight. I am also waiting to get some better production on my music, though I might whack some stuff up there anyway and maybe get feedback. Incidentally can anyone recommend good drumming software for a relative novice? I was told PropellerHead Reason and BFD, which I have looked at, but thought I'd throw the question out to others. Grateful for any advice.
Essentially, I am a North London-based performer singer/songwriter with very basic guitar skills and lots of material but slow recording processes. And a numb bum. Looking forward to posting some tracks though :~)
Which popular slang expression drives you nuts?
Fuck-buddy. I am rarely one for censoring language but I cringe to utter it. Really loathe it. Not the concept itself - though I suppose they go hand in hand... so much as the smug, skippy, super-cool casual pretence it embodies. Yes, smug. And snug. Pseudo-snug, too close for cumfort. Smug and snug and cool and cliquey and just really uber-in-your-face annoying, too much bedroom-bandying bloody information, buddy. Like "I'm such a groovily intellectually detached cappucino/brothel house-frequenting Lothario, man. So bloody well-adjusted to the Modern Age". Ugh! End of subject (nothing against cappucino's, mind).
I think I proved it drives me nuts.
